Make 2017 your year to take care of you and your skin....Naturally!!

This can be your year to really look after yourself and your skin. You don’t have to spend a huge fortune to treat your skin to the tender loving care and attention it deserves.  When you’re happy, your skin glows from within. Beauty really is skin deep.
Try some of these simple yet effective beauty tricks and let your skin do the talking.

1. Wash Your face
When you first wake up or are feeling tired or stressed, splash cold water on your face and wash it thoroughly. Not only will it wake you up, it will freshen your skin and brighten your complexion. If you want to give yourself a quick mini facial free from nasty ingredients, try using a wash cloth and massage gently using downward strokes.  Your skin will be not only cleaner, but brighter in no time.

2. Cleanse your skin from within
We have said it before but you are what you eat. So try and drink a glass of warm water with a freshly squeezed lemon in it first thing in the morning. This will help flush out your body from the inside therefore aiding to the reduction of toxins and bacteria whilst hydrating your whole body and quenching your thirst in the most natural way possible.

3.Get rid of Panda Eyes
We all fall victim to puffy eyes in the morning, whether it be a late night, stress or just unlucky, but there is no need to slather on layers and layers of creams and makeup.  You can give yourself an at home eye massage by gently pressing in a circular motion moving from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner of your eye and repeating three to four times in the same motion.  However if you want to use a trick that has been sworn by for generations, you can try using cool cucumbers rested gently on your eyes for several minutes or place a spoon in your freezer overnight and then come morning time, hold the spoon on top or just under the eyelids which will help the reduction of puffiness.

4.Get enough Rest
We all know how important a good night’s sleep is for your whole wellbeing, but did you know how you sleep can affect your skin? The position in which you sleep can affect your face and skin’s appearance. By sleeping on your back, it will stop you pressing your face or cheek into the pillow which has been proven to cause wrinkles and lines on your face.

5.Wash your hands
How many times did you hear it as a kid how important washing your hands are? It is in fact true, we carry so many germs on our hands, think of how many things you touch in a day. When you touch your face you are essentially spreading bacteria onto your skin which can then cause breakouts. So wash your hands thoroughly and make sure they are clean when touching your face.
6. Allow yourself to take a breath
The best way to look after yourself and your skin and wellbeing is by allowing yourself to take a moment to inhale and exhale. Give yourself a break. It’s ok to stop for a moment. You will see the benefits both physically, mentally and spiritually if you make time to stop and smell the roses or just simply zone out or relax, you deserve it!
