FUN FRIDAY with Jade Hatcher - Professional Ballroom Dancer and Founder of HatcherDance!

Jade Hatcher is best known for her time as a professional ballroom dancer on the hit TV show Dancing With the Stars. She was the youngest pro dancer cast when she was just 19 years of age, and became the overall dance champion and won the series in 2009.

Jade captured the hearts of the Australian public and had a very successful run on the show, but after tragedy struck on the 2013 series where she was accidentally dropped by her dance partner, she suffered severe, crippling injuries and was unable to engage in any physical activity for over three years. Jade was in excruciating pain, and underwent intense surgery, had two hip reconstructions and years of rehabilitation and admitted that she did wonder whether she would ever be able to dance again.

Now, over three years later, and after a period that Jade herself described as horrible, she is back on her feet, dancing, but also celebrating the launch of her very own dance and fitness studio HATCHERDANCE in Sydney's Northern Beaches.

I sat down and had a chat with Jade and her spirit and passion for life and dance was contagious. It is easy to see why Australia fell in love with her. Jade is not only beautiful on the outside, she is even sweeter on the inside and was extremely excited about the opening of her brand new Dance and Fitness Studio, as are we. What an inspirational story of love, passion, strength, hard work and determination.
